AYAHUASCA RETREATS

Kuntur Wak’a: A Sacred Space for Healing and Connection

Kuntur Wak’a, meaning "Sacred Place of the Condor" in the Quechua language, is a retreat dedicated to fostering profound healing through plant medicines in a community setting. Our mission is to support both individual and collective healing by reconnecting participants to the wisdom of the natural world and the shared human experience.

This vision is guided by a prayerful intention:

While we navigate life in this world, true belonging eludes us until we reconnect with the deeper network that unites us with the Earth and the cosmos. This network is not only found in the healing potential of others walking the medicine path, but also in the profound wisdom of the natural world. Together, we walk this sacred path to bridge the essence of our being with indigenous knowledge and the transformative power of sacred plants. By listening deeply to ourselves, guided by the teachings of ancient wisdom and plant medicine, we can realign with the soul’s purpose.

Healing extends beyond individual work—it requires us to transcend divisions of gender, culture, and perceived differences, both real and imagined. Reaching out across these boundaries is essential to restore balance to the collective unconscious in its current polarized state. The human connections we nurture in this shared moment of existence are bridges to a profound unity that lies beyond the illusion of separation.

At Kuntur Wak’a, we invite you to join us on this transformative journey to heal, reconnect, and rediscover the sacred essence that connects us all.

At Kuntur Wak’a, retreats and residencies embrace the concept of family as a cornerstone of the healing journey. For us, “family” is a dynamic constellation of participants, dedicated staff, and indigenous wisdom keepers, all coming together in mutual support and shared intention.

True healing requires more than the transformative power of plant medicine alone. It is a holistic process that weaves together the wisdom of sacred plants, the support of community, and the exploration of our personal and collective histories. By reflecting on how our past shapes our present, listening deeply to the experiences of others, honoring our bodies, and living in reverence for each other and our planet, we create a foundation for profound healing.

This integrative approach fosters the joy and strength needed to fully embrace life in the present moment, allowing us to move forward with purpose and vitality.

Kuntur Wak’a is inspired by the ancient prophecy of the Eagle and the Condor, which foretells a time when the Earth will be healed through the unification of wisdom from all corners of the planet. It is a vision of collective healing, where differences become bridges, and humanity comes together to restore harmony and balance.

Through shared connection, deep respect, and with the guidance of sacred plants and community, we walk this path of healing together.

14-Day Retreat in the Sacred Valley of the Incas

Join us for a transformative 14-day retreat in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where we are honored to host members of the Huni Kuin tribe from Brazil. These revered wisdom keepers will share the prayers, music and ancestral rituals of their lineage, creating an unparalleled space of kinship and joy that transcends cultural and linguistic boundaries.

During this retreat, participants will be guided to align with the profound constellations of peace, harmony, and joy. Through master plants such as Ayahuasca and sacred indigenous ceremonies from both North and South America, you will have numerous opportunities for deep healing and connection with ancestral blessings.

Highlights of the retreat include:

  • Traditional Ceremonies: Engage in sacred Ayahuasca ceremonies and other indigenous practices designed to foster profound healing and self-discovery.

  • Temazcal (Sweat Lodge): A traditional purification ceremony held in a sweat lodge, combining heat, steam, and guided practices to support the release of physical, emotional, and spiritual blockages, guiding participants into profound states of clarity and connection.

  • Integration Circles: Guided conversations to share and process insights and experiences, supporting your healing journey.

  • Holistic Practices: Daily practices, including yoga and dietary support, to prepare your body and mind for the transformational journey with Ayahuasca.

Each element of the retreat is carefully designed to clear, clarify, and support your path of healing. Through this sacred work, you will create the conditions to journey with Ayahuasca, allowing her to guide you through darkness and into the light of renewal and rebirth.

This retreat is a profound opportunity to reconnect with yourself, the natural world, and the wisdom of ancient traditions in the breathtaking Sacred Valley. We invite you to join us on this journey of healing and transformation.

What participants are saying

  • “I recently completed a transformative retreat with Maddy, Fito’s, and Martin’s project Kuntur Wak’a, and words cannot fully capture the profound impact it had on me. The collaboration with the Huni Kuin tribe brought a depth of ancestral wisdom and healing that was both humbling and inspiring. The ceremonial experiences led by the Huni Kuin, Fito, and the team were nothing short of extraordinary, from energy clearings to joyful celebrations, all infused with indigenous traditions and a sense of reciprocity. The support provided, both within and outside of ceremony, was exceptional, guiding us to deep places of healing and self-discovery. As I emerge from this experience, I carry with me a profound sense of love for my ancestry, clarity in my path ahead, and a newfound strength and heart expansion that have set me on a journey of alignment with my soul's calling. This retreat was truly a life-changing expedition, where every moment felt like a gift of empowerment and transformation..”

  • "What a special experience it is to be with so many people who respect and truly believe in the healing power of these medicines. Ayahuasca is the medicine of the Huni Kuin tribe and their connection to honoring the medicine with love and joy is something that has and continues to heal me. You will never have an experience that is more healing. Fito is such a wonderful guide and human. His love and respect in working with the indigenous communities to share the healing power with anyone who is willing to open themselves up to their true potential is a gift. I am forever grateful for his guidance and friendship."
